In Japan, “Living National Treasures” denotes individuals who are “keepers of important intangible cultural properties... defined as dramatic, musical, artistic, and other intangible cultural artifacts of high value.” During my american student exchange this idea brought me to design a triptych about Isaac Asimov, the sci-fi writer and science professor that wrote about robots, artificial intelligence, society and future. The only visual reference was the covers of his books, but I had to explain what were his ideas and not what were his stories telling. I got inspiration from his quote "The saddest aspect right now is that technology gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom" and I visualized it with a robot holding a half cyborg and half human braing. The robotic side is perfect, but cold and flat. The human side could have flaws, but at the same time is creative and full of colors. I also designed a second version where you can see the evolution of technology that will bring to robots and artificial intelligence.

For this project I used: Illustrator, Photoshop.
The poster has dimensions 24x36inches (72x36inches in total).
